2. Open it and look for the line "; ForceShadowMode = 0"
3. Just simply remove the ";" and save the changes.
4. Done
It worked for a good 5 minutes, then when I tried loading SC it wouldn't load for some reason, but my screen resolution was changed to 640X480 and it gave me a small white screen window (task bar said SC was "suspended"). So I tired applying the Widescreen fix that I found here https://thirteenag.github.io/wfp#sc . THAT screwed up my shadows again
-_-, so I looked in the "SplinterCell.WidescreenFix.ini" file that came with the fix and changed the value of "ForceShadowBufferMode = 1" to 0.
That seems to have fixed everything and now the lighting works and it displays in a widescreen format the way it's supposed to.
