Also, even if Ubisoft re-released the game in its original state, there are issues to run it on modern PC's. The shadow buffers won't work. Thus you'd have to use something like dgVoodoo2 to make it work. And even then you sometimes get back to desktop when you're in the game. The general public wouldn't know how to fix these issues.
Splinter Cell 1 has the same issues, by the way. And, it doesn't even work properly with dgVoodoo2, because the water rendering is corrupted.
Nah, they either do remasters of these games, or they are better left where they are, because they simply don't work well with modern machines.
