I wasn't able to get the win 10 controller to work, using "Joy to key" so I muscled through with the keyboard/mouse and after much practice I felt confident enough to make SC1 vids.
I'd only ever played the 1st 4 SC games with the OG X, til it died early 2018. IMO, (not being keyboard/mouse adept) the mouse can't compete with the controller analog tower when it comes to ghosting the BGs in the SC games.
Regarding CT, I couldn't get the win 10 controller to mimic the OG X's controller related to multiple cam usage. I was what allowed me to slick the 3 BGs at the end of Bathhouse and get away with 3 game KOs.
I do suggest you give it a try and put some effort into trying the keyboard/mouse, at least you'll be playing SC
Yes there is a way, you have to buy:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/367670/Controller_Companion/
And then subscribe to my Splinter Cell settings:

Can I do these kind of changes with Controller Companion? Because if this software only allows me to use the right stick as mouse, then I'll pass, since it isn't smooth like using the Axis aTurn and Axis aLookUp commands.
Right now, I have this written in my SplinterCellUser.ini file:
JoyX=Axis aStrafe DeadZone=0.3
JoyY=Axis aForward DeadZone=0.3
JoyZ=Axis aTurn DeadZone=0.3
JoyV=Axis aLookUp DeadZone=0.3
The bad thing with XInputPlus is that I need to boot the game with Steam Input disabled, and then enable it again to use some of my controller profile for Splinter Cell.

Yes. I just threw out some more options. Thank you for sharing how you got it to work and I am glad you can enjoy this great classic game on a controller.
