I love Xpadder. It works a treat for me in this game and others. Using Xpadder, if you map the Enter key instead of the Space Bar as your Interaction button, you can use it to skip cut scenes & start missions, as well as interact in game. Also, there's no need to configure the left stick if you have UseJoystick=True in the splintercell2.ini file.
EDIT:
Here's Xpadder (v5.7) with my Xbox 360 controller profile for Pandora Tomorrow already set up. Just extract the archive, plug in your Xbox 360 controller and run it. I mightn't have it set up exactly the way it was on Xbox/PS2, but it's close enough. You can change the mappings very easily by clicking on the buttons in Xpadder's UI. Remember to use the original SplinterCell2User.ini file if using this.
N.B. You need to set Xpadder to run in compatibility mode for Windows 7 (left click exe -> properties -> compatibilty -> Windows 7)

who the hell uses outdated Xpadder , just use free program called Joytokey and ur good to go
I do. I haven't tried JoyToKey because Xpadder 5.7 does the trick for me - probably as well as any other similar utility. It's also free and it's got a neat little UI that's customizable. I use it for the early Splinter Cell games, Max Payne 1 & 2 and any other old games that I reckon play better with a controller, but that don't support one. So there!
Joytokey is far more simpler then Xpadder , Xpadder and Joytokey aren't necessary to be used , u can just use ur mouse keyboard controls on a controller in steams built in controller customisation and even use community created profiles .
Its a matter of opinion but I don't believe so. I checked out JoyToKey and I didn't like it as much. Xpadder seems simpler and more intuitive to me. Plus, its got a better, more visually oriented UI. Also, when mapping the right stick to the mouse in JotToKey, the cursor kept moving slowly after I let go of the stick. That doesn't happen with Xpadder.
EDIT:
I'm now using the OP's fix because the right-stick look camera motion is more natural and smoother than when it is mapped to the mouse (regardless of the mapping software). However, I did have to bump up the speed to 0.025 in the .ini file because it was a bit too slow.
I'm still using Xpadder to map the Enter key to the A button on my controller so that I can navigate the menus and skip cut scenes without touching the keyboard.
If you don't mind, can you send me friends invite to see how I can fix this and make it work? @jjbinx321
Pls Halp... theres like no other guides for this game. :( also I'm using a ps4 controller
I tried with ds4, ds5, xbox360. Gave all of them a try with and without steam input, but nothing works ingame.
Any ideas????
