Splinter Cell games are ... so great.
Yes all 4 OG Xbox Splinter Cell games were added to the BC list a few months ago in June, part of the final additions to the Xbox One BC list(600+ total games) before the BC team transitioned to working on the next gen Xbox, Project Scarlett. You can play your old OG Xbox discs on an Xbox One and get a boost in resolution and performance.
They were also enhanced on the Xbox One X(up to 4K resolution) which is the newest Xbox One model with upgraded hardware. The older Xbox One models also adds some improvements including slightly higher resolution, higher average framerates, 16x anisotropic filtering, and Forced V Sync which are also found on the X.

Backwards compatible original Xbox and Xbox 360 titles will benefit from becoming Xbox One X enhanced with patches targeted at maximizing the use of the Xbox One X's hardware beyond the standard improvements that come with backwards compatibility. This may also include the following enhancements:
Increased Resolution - The title is capable of outputting up to 2160p to displays capable of displaying it. Enhanced games are rendered at 9x their original resolution. This means games that originally ran at 720p will run at 2160p (4K)
HDR - The title supports HDR10 with displays supporting it
Dolby Atmos - The title supports Dolby Atmos surround sound when used with a sound system supporting it
Make sure to get an Ultimate Gamepass subscription when you get your Xbox One. It includes 3 subscriptions for the price of 1 including Gamepass for Xbox One, Gamepass for PC, and XBL the latter of which provides 4 free games a month that you keep, as well as allow you to play online in multiplayer games.
With an Ultimate Gamepass sub you get to play new launch titles on Xbox One or PC off the bat(like Metro Exodus which isn't even available on steam yet) instead of paying $60 for them, although of course you don't own them. The list includes 200 + titles for Gamepass on Xbox One and 100+ titles for Gamepass on PC.
