I just unpacked the game files. There is a way to translate it and patch in a translation. Even the developer has started working on an English version but stopped after the first scene likely due to funding and the translation is of poor quality.

I am no programmer but I renamed the English script file into the Japanese one and it was working for a little bit until the first scene transition. There is a way to do it, people just need to get organized and translate it.
