I've spent 17 hours so far on this game when it should have been 6, due to bad hinting
-- RANT --
Dev needs to leave in the forums proper spoilers on how to advance past places users have reported being stuck, not vague hints. If 1 person reports being stuck, others will be getting stuck at the same place. Reading a post from 1 year ago that someone else had the same problem isn't useful to me now if the solution isn't actually written out
The only walkthrough on youtube is someone who spends 18 hours, most of them in frustration trying every item with every hotspot, and in the end just gives up and doesn't even make it to the part where Zazu/Ibl and I are stuck
This game desperately needs a written walkthrough or official (ie short) youtube walkthough, assuming the dev isn't going to go back and add better hinting to the game
It's 2022, having the player resort to try-every-object-on-everything multiple times in a game is unacceptable
But what do I know, I've only been playing adventure games for 30 years ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Rant seems unnecessary though. Outside of this part it's pretty well sign-posted what you need to do. The journal generally gives good clues for everything. Wouldn't mind an in-game hint system, but it hasn't really been needed before this. I'm 8 hours in and this is the only place I've had big troubles with. /shrug
1. Grab cord from drapes and tie it to the bag of flour.
2. Take shelf above levers.
3. When the left lever is up tie the bag to the lever and you get access to the top floor.
From there on out it was smooth sailing again.
