Service Skill Level
Even after figuring out Inspect Mode and going through every menu, I can't find any place that lists the current needed stat for serving food, aside from hovering over a customer's current order if it's been taken and cooked. And it seems to increase randomly, like one day it says I need 12 to serve Root Beer effectively, then the next it goes to 13. Is there a place I'm not seeing that has these numbers all listed? The Menu just has the cooking skill.
I suppose the same question goes for cleaning and repairing, I don't know the recommended stat until the task needs doing, which isn't useful when trying to level up stats in advance.

+1 to this detail. I had just leveled up artists, and noticed that the service moved to 10. I managed to level up my character, and the next day it just jumped to 12. Didnt level up anyone else, didnt see any reason for the change. I'd just like to know more about the mechanic.

Hi there! A couple of points that might be useful to know:

1) Customers have a hidden 'more difficult' mode they can reach after you've served a number of that type of Customer to their Satisfaction (the amount of which varies per level up). Once that hidden 'more difficult' mode is reached, some Customers will appear with slightly more difficulty requests (including an extra Recipe). These are the Customers you encounter which have slightly higher Needs.

From a game design perspective, this was added to challenge players who have 'mastered' a Customer type before the next level up. These customers also pay a little extra!

2) For all Skills, a big advantage to levelling them up is you perform the Skill much faster. For example, you do not *require* 10 Fixing skill to repair the coffee machine, but they will do it much much faster than a Staff member with 2 Fixing skill.

3) For the Food Need, the skill required is unrelated to the food prepared, really.

When preparing a food the customer wants, the Food score is calculated as follows:
<Staff Member Skill> * 1

If the food served is not the food the Customer really wants to eat, it's calculated as:
<Staff Member Skill> * 0.5

So, a great cook could still satisfy a Customer even when giving them a meal that's not the one they want the most.

I hope this helps clarify things a bit! You're clearly doing pretty well to have the 'more challenging' customers appear!

This makes a lot of sense now that I'm reading it, thanks for the clarification!
