foot print symbol?

I just started the game and think it's cute. Now after day 10 ingame, my cats show a symbol of two foot prints, sometimes with an X sometimes without it. I can't find out what it means and what to do. Sorry if this was asked before, I used the search function but didn't find an answer.

That basically means that they're trying to go somewhere, but they can't reach that spot. Try to see if any tiles are blocked (any object on a tile often completely blocks it for pathfinding, even if the player cán walk past it!)

Ah, thanks! That's not as bad as I thought. I was afraid, the symbol meant they were going to leave the cafe soon, because I didn't care good enough for them or something along the lines ;o)
