How to get back to build screen.

I clicked recruitement and now I cant get back to the main tavern screen. If I click build and select a building to build, I cant put it anywhere because the recruitment screen is in the way. I can change it to the godess screen and a few other things, but there seems to be no way to get back to viewing the tavern itself and selecting where I want to put the new room,

Wow. I even quitting back to the main menu didnt help. The recruitment screen was covering the main menu and I STILL could get rid of it so in the end I had to alt+F4

Oh damn. I restarted the game from scratch and deleted my old save. Sorry, I didnt think about how it might be useful for bug hunting.
