As for the other stuff. Avoid the time limited boosts, they are not worth it at all. You should get the permanent soul upgrades though. The material bag max amount and drop rate upgrades, as well as the CPS upgrades, are nice to have (in that order).
But in my opinion none of the items are worth the asking price, too expensive for too little gain. Just wait until you unlock daily quests to get eggs. The eggs can drop jewels and after a while you will have enough to buy some of the more useful upgrades.
Only spend your gems on the permanent upgrades. Prioritise SP bonus's and armory equipment chance like +excellent and options.
Cps is good too, but not as useful as the prior. You will also want the material increases at some point as well. Basically, you will buy out the entire soul tab store just using the gems you earn for free as you play. Just spend it wisely as you slowly work your way through it, and never buy the timed temp bonus's, those are a waste of gems, there's zero reason to whale in this game. You can buy everything eventually.
So now i feel guilt free about paying nothing.
