Don't join the discord

I joined days ago, seemed chill until I admitted i'd been fooling around with cheat engine on a second save file. Seconds after I posted that, someone shouts
@Admins WE HAVE A CHEATER!

and two seconds later I was banned, IP appears to have been blacklisted too. This craps why some people are unsuited to being moderators, from what i've been told on the reddit the admins on the discord are notorious for being heavy handed dictators. It's a single player game, so what I was messing around? Does it hurt them?

To be fair, the game does provide revenue through its cash shop, so I could see why discord mods would be heavy-handed if cheats were used to provide players with those benefits at no cost.

If the cheats don't affect the cash shop, then I can't say I see the issue myself? Its not as if there are leaderboards. Idle Slayer isn't an E-Sport.

That said, Discord Servers have their own rules and the rights to moderate them. Sounds to me like you dodged a bullet.

I wanted to punch her in the mouth so bad, I'd been enjoying the discord.

Did you seriously announce in Discord, where the DEVELOPER resides in for the majority of his time, that you are cheating in his game, which is a game that generates revenue for him?

Yeah except one is not obligated to buy ♥♥♥♥ from this dev. This all assumes the cheater was going to pay for anything anyway. I say cheat away.

You made it her business when you announced it. Also, SHE didn't ban you. That all being said I fully support cheating in single player games. Frack his revenue, it's not my job to get him money.

Why would anyone create a Discord account when IRC exists, is free, and is not operated by neonazis?

because not every fan group has IRC and discord is a lot more user friendly with better intergration for gamers. games like DayZ community servers can use discord to keep track of what players are doing, rules being broken, etc.

Sharing screenshots or descriptions on modding/hacking/exploiting the game will result in an immediate ban.

That being said, armchair modding is peak embarrassing. It's like they think they'll get mod if they bark enough times. Report button is right there ffs.

That discord was full of people being ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. That being said, There is literally NOTHING wrong with single player modding. I soft locked the game's portals. I had no choice but to use CE to disable the portal cooldown to fix it.

No one can tell me there is ANYTHING wrong with cheating/modding single player games that don't interact with people. So long as you are not creating a toxic environment or creating an exploit that is going to SWAT someone or damage their setup, have FUN bro.
