I would say, you can turn off the divinity without regret at this point.
I personally don't like the boss fights in this game and avoid them like the plague.
It is garaunteed to be excellent if you beat him in 90 seconds or under, which is insanely easy to do if you understand his really basic pattern. I average about 45 seconds or so each time but my best is so far 38. You basically want to leave him on permanently since he is free extra divinity points and free scrap.
You want to kill him at MINIMUM until you get an excellent Victors ring with all 3 of the options first.
From your position, Victor and his upgraded form may look simple in comparison to similar challenges in other games of the runner or shooter genre. Does not change the fact, that some of us struggled with his basic form already.
When I buy a train ticket, I do not expect to be tested for my cooking skills, even if it is only for simple dishes.
...What?
Explain what you mean by skill based.
You realise the way to win is to just press 2 buttons right? You run on the ground, when he attacks you jump over it, and you keep pressing boost to kill him with your sword.
This doesn't take skill, it takes a toddlers level of timing and the ability to press 2 different keys. Both my EIGHT YEAR OLD and SIX YEAR OLD kids can defeat him and it takes them about 90-120 seconds. You're suggesting you have less motor function and timing than a child in grade 1. I don't buy it.
