Use him, when 50 B souls are pocket change, maybe after you got the cyclops too to compensate for it.
And I consider 10% of your gold maximum every day a pretty good deal. Makes it much easier to save up for the more expensive upgrades.
I think, the ninja starts getting useful at the 10 T souls and 1 Ocd [Edit: I meant St] gold mark, and only gets better the further you go from there.
In just 3-4 days, you can double your maximum gold, then double that again and again and again, until you run out of souls (which, at later stages, will take a long, long time). After a month, you got more than thousand times the amount, you maxed out at before.
If anything, expect a downgrade, not an upgrade, with that helper.
The Ninja functions in a way that goes against the basic gameplay mechanic of ascending, so it could certainly use an exception to the button that sends all minions out just so you don't waste your souls.
I seriously forgot that I had this and was still holding back on getting the helper. Thank you. Time to unlock the next quest bundle. :-D
