i remember playing on the ps2 what happend to all the gore?

Ever since I can remember there was never gore in the PC version of the game neither the PS2 version.

There IS gore in the US version of the game. Unfortunately it's protected with some sort of a dumb protection and that's why cannot be launched on modern PCs. Ubisoft never published a patch. The Steam version is EU and gore-free.

Cannot understand why; Warrior Within got those effects slicing up enemies.
