Blocking isn't required in this game, just work with your positioning and jump timing.
"One of the most balanced" Maybe for mobile games of it's type, of which there are very few. But in terms of fighting games it's very much not balanced from a frame data / damage prospective. Some characters are very much better than others and having higher levels is outright an upgrade.....so being matched against two level 20's when you're level 5 means you don't get to play.
You can also cheese with Quixote by just spamming his armored moves on point. Even if you're able to hit him a few times he's still just generally a damper on the fun in terms of actual gameplay balance. There's no counterplay to "I move faster than you and do damage if you hit me" unless you specifically have a ranged hero on your team, which isn't always a common thing.
Haven't lost a game that I've had a Quixote or was playing Quixote, but have lost every single game where the enemy team had a Quixote and we didn't. As someone who has thousands of hours of experience in games like this, it VERY much needs more counterplay options and blocking (Or perhaps to keep the speed up, a Parry) would be a nice first step to giving good players some more advanced ways of dealing with enemies rather than being forced to pick top tier or die.
"Positioning" when all you need to do as Hook and Cindy is to be at a distance to spam your attack/special
Peter has broken range for his whole kit, it is way longer than his actual sword model. Especially his sword which practically takes the whole screen. His ground ability hits his target behind him which itself is bs.
Ravi's ability are all instant, you are automatically hit on a single hit and can be hit in a combo while his super hitbox is huge, hitting people high in the air.
Hook core kit is just to spam at range and because of that, hit stun from a single hit. All you need to do is jump attack since tracking from that snaps to enemies instantly. Her ledge attack vertical hitbox is so huge you get hit while you are BEHIND HER!
If Snow's ability pokes you, even if you hit them during their animation, you get full damage from him which in itself is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Whoever thought his one attack ability that stunlocks and melts 25% to 50% of their targets hp isn't a super with a longer cooldown needs to be slapped. His dodge ult should be his ability with a faster cooldown.
Red's cloak meter gain from attacking should be lowered. it is way to easy for her to get her cloak back.
Cindy only relies on her ability resetting on his, put that to 2 charge with a slightly lower cooldown then it would fix her spam on her ability.
Kaiser himself is fine for the most part they need to change his hyper armor from his ult, all you have to do is spam your basic attack to stay in place and not get stun locked. It SHOULD of been hyper armor only on his first basic attack and his ability.
Master Cat basic attack is instant which for what they are going for is fine, but his ability should have a longer cooldown, the air variant has a way bigger hitbox that hits his target behind him.
Don himself needs to be fixed. People who say he is overpowered, I don't even know that is even true. His aerial basic attack is super slow and his super gives him reflect but makes him unable to jump, extremely slow and doesn't give him invulnerability which makes range characters and one hit high damage characters to kill him fairly easily. His super was made to PUNISH the enemy for attacking him.
Alice mines should stun the enemy for procing the mine explosion, this would stop people from trying to blow the mine without getting stunned. Also her mines should have a longer cooldown or at least start cooldown after detonation with a slightly lower cooldown.
Now when it comes to blocking, this would help immensely, blocking attacks allows you to punish and counter attack. It would greatly help against everybody except a few like Alice's mine and all supers (excluding Hook and Kaiser as they just enhance basic attacks so should be blockable.)
Then there are situations where no matter what moves you do, there's nothing you can do to overcome an enemy. If a Master Cat focuses on you in BR, most characters struggle to fight back and have trouble running away (some characters have a better time than others). Or if the enemy team has Kaiser in dominion with his ult going, you're not likely to get the point back until his ult fades.
I don't know if blocking would help. It would probably break dominion (or at least make them rework it). Then in some situations it just wouldn't do much. Imagine getting attacked by Hook and blocking. What's your follow up? She can just keep attacking until the block goes away and/or you die. It would probably help against characters that don't have a quick attack rate.
Characters with slower attacks would be nerfed to hell with this. Such as Flare with her very predictable and slow attack.
