Far Cry Remaster

When will we get Far Cry Remaster? They have created all of these new Far Cry's which are all basically the same (Far Cry 3-4-5). They should instead honour the OG Far Cry and make it shine again

There is a Far Cry remaster already. It was available only on consoles as a part of “Far Cry Wild Expedition” collection. It simplified gameplay to be more in line with newer titles.

I honestly don’t see Ubisoft ever remastering FC1 without completely butchering the gameplay, so what’s the point?

Like Mafia 1 remaster/remake whatever they want to call it.Its just a real tragedy that both games came out long before the hardware was there, to actually do them the justice they deserved.Now if these 2 games were actually released now, then they would have been absolutely superb.The only drawback would be that i would never see the light of day again lol.

Yeah it is amazing how they didn't Remaster this gem, but they would probably ruin it at this point i don't even want to original game is already perfect :)

that xbox 360 game should've come to PC.
ubisoft hardly cares about far cry sadly. 5 was good but sadly the rest are whatever.

Farcry Predator Instincts was the better game (had better graphics too). I like this game a lot but the console version is superior. It was much more fun and not as brutally difficult as this version. I have to save scum in this game just to survive which is fine. Also, The Mafia remake is amazing I dunno what insane person wouldn't like that game. The writing/voice acting is top notch. The gameplay is fun. A lot of great remakes have come out over the years. A Farcry remake would be amazing if Crytek did it. Then again Crysis was the remaster for Farcry imo.

Remaster is kinda a rebalance version with the better armor meter for easy difficulties which I would've prefer then getting the character shanked(like it was by touching or hitting metaphorically) by snipers with Trogens and shielded guards and everything else more then 32 times on normal at like the beginning and the very end. It really was that bad and I remember a part where I felt softlocked since well escort mission lack of ammo and don't let her die since well before RE4 Far Cry made history on how to lose faster on a escort mission.

However there is one con on the Remaster which is no multiplayer then OG version originally had.

However I think I played the Xbox version and it is better balanced then being touch to death by one stared enemy.

Shine? Oh, they'll make it shine all right --- shine with the full spectrum of the rainbow. Complete with the warm glow of GirlPower and 400 watts of Diversity and Tranz-repree-zen-tay-shun.

And that's not even counting the downgrades, lack of MSAA, new bugs, and overall terrible performance.

I, for one, can't wait.

FarCry 1 is my favorite FarCry.
Its never getting remastered.
Its easier and more profitable to just remake FarCry3 thirty times.

Do you have any advice on the best way to play FarCry, in order to get working landmass water reflections and prevent enemies from seeing through tents? I play on Windows 7.
