Maybe the game isn't hard for you - everyone has different styles of games they either find easier or simply have more experience in. For me, personally, I find the AI difficult. The mercenaries seem to be really good at finding me and the damage they deal when working together isn't forgiving. I am just starting it, though. I just thought it would be fun to talk about my first impressions, haven't played a serious stealth game since Dishonored.
Sometimes the save points are too far away from each other, otherwise this game is for people how want a challenge.
You can have both versions and the saves can be played in both, depending on what you start up. Make a new profile for each difficulty you do, then you will have saves for them all, even if you start a new game in higher difficulty. Othervise they will be overwritten by your progress.
I had the game on DVD from 2004, but couldnt find it and bought the steam version. I realise quickly that this was not the same experience i had years back. After I installed the 64-bit ver. 1.32 everything fell in place. This game works on all win versions.
I have finished it on realistic 2 times and still go in and play some of the fav missions.
And these fruit bats that say they're getting shot through walls need to wake up and smell the coffee. I've just completed Far Cry for the first time (painstakingly I might add...) and the only time I got shot at was being in a tent not behind a solid wall. Which actually makes realistic sense.
Having said that, it was the best FPS I've ever played. Made me buy Far Cry 2, I love it!
I have the original 2004 game on dvd. Bought the game on steam yeras ago and figure that it had several flaws. I installed the 64-bit 1.32 version (search the guides) and the now the game was like i remember. I have 32 bit and 64-bit seperated and can play them both. I play it regulary on sertain mission i favor and I think i never will get tired of this game....
Also seconding the x64 patch, get it!
