told that "After applying the 64-bit Enhanced Content Patch, the mountain rock textures appear extremely blurry in-game."
Its also bad(
But what will I lose if i stay on 32 bit?
1. Install a retail 1.0 version of the game
2. Install (Far Cry AMD64 (64-bit) Upgrade patch 1.32 AMD64
https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/442-far-cry-amd64-64-bit-upgrade-patch/
3. Far Cry AMD64 (64-bit) Enhanced Content patch
https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/443-far-cry-amd64-64-bit-enhanced-content-patch/
Right?
After that
But when i need to install SilentPatch?
And another way is:
1. install a retail 1.0 version of the game
2. Install (Far Cry AMD64 (64-bit) Upgrade patch 1.32 AMD64
https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/442-far-cry-amd64-64-bit-upgrade-patch/
3. install SilentPatch
Right?
(Version 1.0 has temp crouch, 1.1 has toggle crouch).
The AMD64 patch can be installed along with any other version of the game, including STEAM's broken 1.4 version. The AMD version exists alongside of the other version and has it's own shortcut, it does not replace the other version. You can play either version with the same saves.
Keep in mind that if you use STEAM's verify cache feature after changing STEAM's version, it will be returned to 1.4. The AMD64 version is not affected.
There are also a number of Russian standalones of various versions, which can be handy to have.
Return To Paradise (1.0)
Ironwinds (excellent) (1.1)
Rambo2viet (1.3)
Fccommando (1.32)
You can find 'some' of them here: http://www.uloz.to/soubory/farcrymix/FC-Remake/
This site has many other very fine FC levels and mods. MUST haves are Railway, Airfield, the Matto series, Inferno trilogy, Farmer Jack, skriptfcc (mod).
But I want toplay russian retail version of Far cry and tell me if you can.
Do I need language of AMD64 (64-bit) Upgrade patch 1.32 AMD64 as US version?
I hope it can be work on russian version)
Now the main problem is to install the 64bit patch on the Steam version. I did a workaround. Didn't get around to make a guide for it yet. Maybe will eventually.
I prefer retail version i have retail 1.0
I want to get the best far cry and we have decided how get it from retai with in one of previous post of Xavier H.G.
I think is the best variant do you agree?
But you and anandtech told that amd patch changed game! I think if this patch change far cry as according in the site. I think it isnt nessesary to me. I agree to play without it but i can install Silentpatch right?
I really don't see any difference between the 32 and 64 bit games but these are probably things you don't "see" in the game anyway, just code supposed to run better.
None of the Russian standalones is v1.4 so they don't need to be fixed on that count.
I tried to apply the AMD64 patch to Russian standalones - didn't work but that's because the AMD64 patch could only be used once and I'm too lazy to find a workaround.

I tried to apply the AMD64 patch to Russian standalones
Can you explain detailed?
Buy the way Russian retail has 1.4 patch)
but I dont know do I need to install it or not. Its another question)
I don't think it is possible to apply the AMD64 patch to these standalones, I tried
The first thing that happens is that the patch installer wants you to "uninstall the current patch" - weird. If anybody finds a way around it, let me know.
I know that there is a 1.4 patch for far cry Russian retail but where does it?
