The series has always been about Adol's adventures in a new land, and the old characters, if any, remain NPCs.
I don't think there will ever be any, but I don't think it's likely unless they are very important characters throughout the series.
And even though there are many references to previous games in this series, the game is designed to be enjoyable no matter where we start.
In other words, that's a very good advantage and also the point where it's hard to find past characters as main characters.
These days, one of the great pleasures of the game is to see what kind of characters the status screen will be filled with.
I think it would be interesting to have a scenario where Dogi leaves for some deeper reason.
And it would be very exciting to be the player character when he comes back.
This is in contrast with Trails where stories are interwoven and involve interactions between large amounts of people and factions (national and international); those characters don't just go away, and some still have relevance long after their death.
Maybe Terra could come back
The argument that we can get to know the past characters in the latest game and then get interested in the past games and play them is inconsistent with the fact that the order in which the series is played is frequently debated.
And I don't think the order of play is important.
It can do that because the new one is not much dependent on past characters.
I'm thinking that there might be a few special characters around Romun You-Know-Who, Feena, and Lear.
I dare say it's the order in which they / released, as I have experienced.
However, in Napishtem, he is only a guest.
If that's all you want, then go for it.
It's the final journal entry, he's in antarctica (or wherever his final entry takes place) as an old man and gets sucked into a fanservice timebreaking scenario and has to gather all the heroes, and Adols from all over the timeline and take down some multiverse god character.
I wanbt this game so unhealthily bad.
Isn't that something that should be in the new "Ys vs Trails" game?
I'll be honest, I'd be deflated if that brought it into the main story (lol).
First, Let's hope that the story will cover Adol's last adventure.
Personally, I'm praying that he will see Feena again.
I think it would be good to start out with just selected members and their scenarios.
It would also be interesting to create a series of "additional scenarios" where characters are added to each scenario on a regular basis.
(Like Sorcerian)
The field could be the city of Barduq or a place that looks like it, with all sorts of mystical theories.
Basically, if it can replace "Larva" with "the other team", the game may can be scripted to look like that.
The game will be heavier, but I think it can just say "buy a good GPU" for that. (lol)
That's a festival game anyway.
