I know on 8 I ended up not using any of the dlc inventory items gained.

I do want the costumes & visual accessories. Just not sure on this stuff. Leaning towards no.

I believe all of this can be grinded and obtained from game. Thus it is a just matter of your support & generosity

You don't need any of this stuff. It's literally there to trick people into spending money because they think it will make an already easy game easier.

NISA doesn't need either with their pricing.

The only things that sound slightly concerning would be the "useful accessory set" and "advanced accessory set" since those sound more like equipment than consumables.. but I assume they aren't that big of a deal.

These kinds of DLC are typically just like paying for cheats.. giving yourself a ton of items by paying real money, which is silly. The items you have in a game should be acquired by playing the game, right?

I'm personally getting the Deluxe, not the Ultimate.

Only difference between Deluxe and Ultimate editions is this item set, which all seems to be items that you can unlock through just playing the game. $30 seems like an absolutely insane price for something like this...

So-called "Falcom Commercial Code" (laughs) so don't worry
You can enjoy the main game of any of them.
I think it's okay to buy as much as you need later.

The accessories aren't cosmetics, but craftable gear like bracelets and amulets. You can craft them yourself in the game.

$30 for a bunch of potions and bracelets seems like one hell of a scam. Especially on PC, where if you really wanted to cheat you could just whip out Cheat Engine.

You can get the accesorries by just grinding in game I think, so it's not exclusive or anything. I feel like the consumable bundle is only useful for people playing on Nightmare

I don't think any of the paid DLC content is worth it. I don't mind supporting a developer, but the DLC for this game feels rather effortless (though honestly, I think Falcom's paid DLC has been rather effortless pretty much every time).

It's worth it if you like cosmetics. I know when it came to Ys 8, all of the best cosmetics were the pirate/beachwear ones and the default ones weren't good in comparison. But if you don't care much for cosmetics then yeah it's not worth it at all
