Make changes in these entries:
lod_dist0 = 25.000000;
lod_dist1 = 150.000000;
lod_dist2 = 0.000000;
to
lod_dist0 = 750.000000;
lod_dist1 = 1000.000000;
lod_dist2 = 0.000000;
Save.
I can not find this file anywhere. nor can "search". Have verified files. No mods. ???????
lod_dist1 = 1000.000000;
That's adjusting doesn't make any sense, because you can't see at the given distance :)
That's make a sense:
lod_dist0 = 95.000000;
lod_dist1 = 255.000000;
It was taken from config.engcfg ITM
sorry, forgot some slashes...here you go
.../data/k42/loc_rus/config/config.engcfg
@chrisscoula but this adjustment is also taken from the ITM forum and it prevents objects to suddenly pop up in next lod level...
Sure it would also be sufficent to use a value of 500.0000 or so.
95.0000 means below 95 meters the objects are switching which is surely a distance you would still notice the quality change...
Yeah, it has advise in the FAQ, but as I told its useless, because:
1. prepare to the ~15fps
2. since the game has max resolution 1080 - you can't see details at the distance over 200 meters. Well, you can use the binocular, but it has a sense at the resolution 2500 or more.
And binocular must has 8-12x zoom instead default 6x
Anyway, it's up to you :)
If you want to overload your videocard then make a next fix in the config.engcfg
micro_dist = 500.000000; //(or even 1024)
micro_trim = 0;
In this way you'll see more grass instead of bald landscape :)
