I was curious when I saw this game and decided to try it. Let's be honest here for a second: I do not have a driver's license, but I know enough about traffic laws. I know nothing about Europe, and this is where my disappointment will mostly be focused.

When I first started, I had to choose a color and a logo for my Taxi company. I still don't understand the point behind that, but oh well. Also, I quickly noticed that I could not create a female driver. No big deal, but I still think that sucks.

I don't know if that's how roads are in Europe, but I have never been so confused in my life, and I am pretty attentive to details, so that's saying something. Sometimes, I end up on the wrong side of the road (according to a ticket I magically got out of thin air), but there are no signs telling me it's a one-way road until it's too late.

There are not enough speed signs to tell me if I can go faster or if I have to slow down, and every street looks about the same. Someone here can correct me if I am wrong, but aren't roundabouts supposed to help with the traffic flow? The AI in this game is constantly stopping inside roundabouts for at least a minute or so.

And if that's not enough, those one-way streets often have pedestrians trying to cross the street. Usually, if I decide not to let them cross the street, they will walk back to the sidewalk until I drive off, and then they attempt to cross the street again. But sometimes, when an AI driver is letting a pedestrian cross the street, the pedestrian will walk back to the sidewalk, thinking that the AI driver will move forward and then create an endless loop, causing the AI driver to become brain-dead, not knowing what to do, forcing me to break the law and drive on the sidewalk or hit the AI driver's rear and drag the idiot off the walking path.

Car customization is nothing to be impressed about, including pre-added paint jobs and a few colors I don't like. There are not enough options, and most paint jobs with designs are ugly. This isn't exactly a Need for Speed game, so do not expect the customization options to be impressive. I can add a rear spoiler to some cars, change the rims to something a bit better, add some figurines to the dashboard of my vehicle, and put some ugly decorations on my gear shifter like this is 1970 or something.

The graphics look okay when looking at the store page, but in-game, I have everything set to max settings, and honestly, anything chrome looks ugly and fake. The reflections on cars also look pretty bad. The shadows and lighting are missing a lot of great details, like leaves from trees and stuff. It's almost as if only buildings and cars are casting shadows.

Many features are available on the car, like the ability to use blinkers/turn signals, hazard lights, windows, and AC controls, which seem entirely useless. I didn't meet a single customer asking me if I could open a window or fiddle with the AC controls. The radio only seems to play the same type of song, and I hate it. Whether I play some music or not, the customer doesn't care at all. I expected to get some Karen into my car, backseating me to their destination, but every passenger has been quiet and generic.

The GPS always seems drunk. It tells me to switch lanes here and there, and from my understanding, we aren't supposed to change lanes unless they're dotted lines, not solid lines. But the GPS is telling me to switch lanes at random times and a lot of the time, I end up meeting the end of the road too late, realizing that I have to switch to the far left or far right lane before turning, and the AI seems to be doing it as well, so I don't get it. Also, here's an example of something I don't get in this game. If I am on the left lane, I have the right to turn left. But then the driver on my right is also turning on the left. I feel like that's a pretty hazardous way to drive if that's how it is in Europe because now I have to focus on not hitting the curb (if there's one) from the left, and I have to focus on the driver on my right so I don't accidentally trade paints during that turn. Who thought this was a good idea? From my understanding, people on the far left and far right lanes have the right to turn; everybody else on the other lanes must drive in a straight line no matter what. Isn't that safer? Futhermore, some people who live in Spain confirmed they never seen that in their area and that it has to be a design flaw. Futhermore, some bicycle lanes are often seen in the middle of the road, between both oncoming traffics from each directions. Those in my opinion should always been closer to the sidewalk, it's a sample concept of safety. There's no way this is a thing anywhere in a civilized location, especially when a bicycle lane is the same width as a car lane.. What is this? A bicycle lane for wide people? Anyway!

Well, this is my full review of this game. I hope I covered enough for you guys. Sorry for the wall of text! I hope you still like it.

I can see what the developers are trying to achieve, and I hope they will improve the game. However, it feels like an unfinished game; it could have been better if they had categorized it as an early access game. Also, it would have been great if you could add virtual mirrors and ability to assign wheel buttons for the keyboard actions.

The game has two aspects, the driving and the management. On the management side, the game is very in-depth, and allows you to hire employees, customize your cars, and go deep into finances. The way you get people in your taxi is a bit unique, as you can only pick them up by selecting them from the map screen, there's no hailing down.

Where this game gets let down hard is the driving, and specially with controlling your speed. Steering is alright (I use a Logitech G29), but the shifting in the automatic mode is just plain horrible. Instead of shifting up at a normal rev range, the game shifts at the redline, no matter if you're lightly tapping or smashing the accelerator. Cruising at about 30-35 just has your engine SCREAMING, when it obviously should be smart enough to shift up on its own. Don't even get me STARTED on the manual shifting (with an H-shifter). If your revs get ever slighly too low, the engine just CUTS. No shaking, no warning, nothing. There's no creeping even in first gear, and while it may seem insignificant, I could not play more than 5 minutes on manual without losing it. If you want an example of proper manual simulation, boot up Euro Truck Simulator 2.

With the driving physics the way they are, I can't possibly recommend the game at this stage.
