character selection

Although the patch improves things about the characters, I still have a hard time getting the hang of it.
For example
What key to press to open the character menu? For now it will only open one by one
I appreciate all kinds of information and help on this.

Bottom middle button opens characters.

The first button is a hammer it is for construction (F) the second button shows two people (X) this bring up the character menu. When you open that you see Idle Subjects, ALL and then numbers for each group...all the way on the right of there is a white circle with what looks like a stick figure person in it. Click that and it brings you to the characters where you see their bodies and you can click on each one to see their skills, items, change their names, etc.

I think it should be easier (just right or left click on the characters but now knowing this the game becomes my favorite
