Years of Work for a new IP Game that sounds good on paper but so few players, they should have released the game in Early Access to involve the community for further updates and improvements. Like so many other Games comsume years of Work and be a flop in the end, that´s just so sad. I really got hyped for the Game, but i guess i will try it on Sale,
It is sad, all the work for nothing
it's sad because Gord isn't excatly "crap". the graphics and animations are very nice and the story+cutscenes are also really good.
Hopefully the Devs from GORD don´t give up and can improve their game somehow, like "Nokrahs" said, it´s not crap, it looks good, and the idea and Artstyle from the game looks really nice.
"So they end up huffing their own farts to no end, and emerge from their bubble with a hugely inflated sense of their product." Because there is not THE WAY to make or game, or?
And the price... everytime the same: If someone don't like something, 1 penny is to much and games that goes around the world like BG3, well, did the people pay more then full price, because it's a good product? no.
A cheaper price don't gave you more fun. Never understood these logic. lol. Cheap = okay. Wtf xD
well, yeah...Starfield might suck you know.
I doubt that veeeeeeeeeeery much but yeah could happen has tons of bugs ect... but everyone with limited budget prefer that one (even with bugs) instead of Gord in my opinion
This game would never have been a big hit even with better reviews/percieved value, this is obviously very niche. There is always the "luck" factor but not there.
I know what you mean and I allways say go for it on new ideas for games but when the gameplay it's bad and tedius... prefer banished good gameplay clones XD
I managed to beat the Permadeath campaign mission 10, and I can say the game is very frustrating to play. It's super buggy as the game progressed. You can watch my entire VODs from my live stream on my twitch channel.
And yes, I do agree the game should have released Early Access instead to take advantage of early access reviews and then do a second launch to get the best review on launch.
The game isn't crap. The premise is something I enjoy, just a lot of bad mechanics design choices that they are planning to fix. The story and cut scenes was great and I'm looking forward to some DLC or sequel to resolve the cliff hanger.
I'm still hopeful the game can be improved upon and hope the Devs don't give up or abandon it. It's got a lot of lore and the world they've built is rather interesting. Maybe Devs can do a relaunch/rebrand the game as "Enhanced Edition" like Divinity Sin and just let everybody have the updated version and do a new launch.
it's really hard to recover from steams Mixed reviews. And I really hope this game can make a come back! I'm still supportive of the game and its continued development.
We appreciate your feedback, and understand that Gord hasn't met everyone's expectations. We're hard at work on multiple patches that are aimed at improving many aspects of the game, some of which you've mentioned above.
