Where is the Palace?

Hi folks
I've only just started playing this new version of Pharaoh, and I'm stuck already. I've got gold mines and it says build a palace, but there's no palace available among the options on the right hand side. Does anyone know how to get past this block?

It is on the rigth side. In the first icon (where the wells and cisterns are).
Maybe a single button, as it is the first appearance.

Post a pic and I point it out.

under Services (Buildings) there is a line for Palace, Mansion, Tax Collector and Courthouse. You need the palace to collect tax revenue and to receive gold from gold mines. If possible, put the palace as close to the mines as possible. I might not make for the nicest looking city, but will generate the most debens.

Thanks both. That's where I would have expected it to be, but those things aren't there. Any idea what's wrong?

This is the first appearence of the palace. Second Mission (iirc Thinis)

You didn't say what mission you are on, but if you have gold mining buildings available, you will have a city palace too. Same with tax collectors, You can't build tax collectors without a city palace.

I can see the palace icon but it is greyed out and can't build it.

what mission? are you in the 6 earlier missions? they are the tutorial, and you have to build what and when the game tell you

If you are in the second (?) mission, you have to build exactly 2 gold mines and when they are staffed, the palace will be unlocked.
