How to cheat?

I dislike cheats but through what seems to be a bug, I lost all my "mansion" savings and want to give myself money back. I switched "Cheatcodes" to "Yes", but I don't see any indication of how to use them.

I saw some posts talking about a pink exclamation point appearing at the left of the UI, but I don't see such a thing, only the exclamation point for the Notifications button.

Can anyone explain it like I'm 5? :)

Unfortunately they removed the very convenient build in 'cheat menu (the pink exclamation thing) and replaced it with less useful old console cheats, which you can find in this thread

I turned on cheatcodes in options and hit ctrl-alt-C, nothing happens onscreen (no menu or field to enter the cheat codes).

Tried ctrl-alt-shift-C too, no love.

Does one just need to enter the codes blindly?

I can't decide if I'm this bad at using a UI or if the game has issues ...

You have to enable cheat mode in options first.

Turn OFF the cheat option in the options menu. Then you can use the ctrl+alt+c cheats from the original game...or use WeMod

why cheat for that just bump your pay 100 per month in a year you have 1200 cost 8 kingdom ranking

I had no issue enabling Cheats in the Options and using Ctrl+Alt+C opens a dialog in game. Treasure Chest will give you 1000 debens
