Pausing every month

There was an invasion coming and it did not happen. After that the game would pause ever month at the end of the month. Hotkey would not un-pause even after rebinding. I tried to reload and restarted computer but did not fix. After completing mission does not seem to happen on next mission.

Do you play in an another language than english? If so: you can switch the language to english (ESC->options) ->save ->load. Its only a workaorund and needs to be fixed.

I've experienced the same issue in the Iunet mission. Something happens or doesn't happen at the turn of the month and suddenly the game starts pausing seemingly at random and the pause key no longer works (clicking the button in the top left of the UI still works). It's not gamebreaking, exactly, but the game isn't really playable in this state. As the OP said, once the bug happens it persists for the rest of the mission, including upon saving and reloading, but doesn't affect other missions. Saves from before the bug happen don't have the problem.

The advice on how to report issues also needs to explain how to send the save folder, because you can't upload files on the steam forums. I have saves before and after the bug, but I'm not sure how I'm supposed to get them to the devs.

Played around with my saves a little to try and see what exactly the problem is. As the OP said, the problem seems to be an invasion which never actually results in a battle. The month that the enemies should arrive rolls around and then nothing happens (except the bug starts happening). The invasion was scheduled to happen in January, could that be the problem? Is that what happened to others?

Yes, this is what is happening. It has to do with a "failed" invasion. It never comes but the game pauses every month because it's stuck in some loop.

I had this same problem also on Iunet with an invasion not triggering. Was able to create a bit of a work around. Plopped a bunch of temples to Seth and a grand festival to make him happy. That triggered his smite the invaders event, and that seemed to unlock the invasion. Got through that and pausing stopped.

I'll have to try that if it happens again. I just got through the mission by constantly unpausing (fortunately all I had left to do was wait for the workers to finish a monument).
