Unable to finish Qadesh
So I'm in Qadesh and failed it multiple times. Tried building 7 gem mines and 10 jewelers, when noticed that only 1 of 3 cities I've established trading routes (and accept jewels) is actually trading with me (some sort of a bug?). I survive the onslaught of enemies, but I always end up in debt, since there's not much you can actually export. Any advices? :(

I hope I am not confusing missions, but here goes. My strategy is build a city unit to take advantage of the gem mines, and a half unit to set up the dock. Trade gems and poms until I can move across the river.

I just buy the chariots outright instead of trying to build up an economy to make them.

Probably it's not the same mission, because there are no docks available. It's the one with requirements of 1800 population, 20 prosperity & 50 kingdom rating.

But how do you keep economy positiive? I tried selling gems, but again, it's like a bug or something - only one city actually buys gems, although I have trade routes with other two and they are willing to buy gems.

Have you tried selling Jewelry?

Sorry, I meant jewelry in the original post. Somehow only one city actually buys jewelry despite having trade routes to other two :(

P.S. I've somehow managed to "force" other cities to buy my jewelry, but I always get in debt in that mission no matter what.

Thanks! Your tip has lead me to a solution :) I tried your method - didn't do much before the attacks and after that focused on jewelry. I've also found the bug - if, for example, a "key" storage yard has 200 jewelry, traders will take that and go away, even if a nearby storage yard has 2000. If you find that storage yard, that's most visited by traders, you have to set "Get all" the goods you sell and they'll take the whole stock.

I used the chariots I had in the storage yard straight up, then transitioned to infantry. this needs to be a priority from the start, import copper, make weapons and train infantry - I built 2x infantry forts and kept the existing 2x chariot ones, it was enough to hold them off so long as you keep the weapons up to the recruiter. Chariots are way to expensive and send you broke very quickly

obviously went hard on jewellery for cashola and if i recall you can also sell the food.

I kept my population to an absolute minimum to avoid paying tonnes of wages

in the OG this works because you fight the enemy the OG way. in the new version the battle is different so if u have nothing or ur on the otherside of the river you still lose
