The game has a revised version of the original soundtrack and just like the original you can hear the occasional bird/animal sounds.
On top of that selecting/placing a building makes a sound related to said building.
I have noticed that turning on/off my volume or switching audio devices can sometimes cause the game to be a bit more silent for a minute or so.
Check your audio settings. You should be getting background music, the hubub of people in the city, bird songs from gardens, priests chanting occasionally, and other ambient sounds. If you're not, either your settings are borked or you've hit a bug.
Tested all my speakers and its fine for every other game I play. It's fine for the Original game as well.
Hmmm..
Yep, thank you - thought I was going crazy! Very strange, the loudest noise comes from the arrows being shot!
same, here, hunting lodge hunters have the volume cranked to 69, while everything else is still at 5 lol
Same is happening to me at Itjtaway
I have the same issue on this map.
I don't know if it's on purpose or not.
