gold is useless

i mean i have 5 gold mines and my money doesn't go up one bit . I've tried and looked at my finances very carefully and it doesn't make any or have any impact on my treasury. did anyone noticed it too or am i imagining it too. your thoughts please and thank you.

In one of the early missions, around 6-7 you can build literally 20 gold mines which gave me about 12000 gold each year afair. Works fine, just spam them.

Btw: you DO have an active palace? Otherwise you won't get the gold delivered.

ok well i only had 4or 5 of them and yes i do put the palace in. Ok thanks for the tip.

A small number of gold mines probably won't offset your expenses, they really do need to be in bulk to make a big difference. Also helps a lot if your palace is as close to them as possible, to cut down on the transit times of the cart pushers.

And finally, if you've got crime, criminals will murder the cart pushers and steal the gold before it ever makes it to your palace.
