Roads across irrigation ditches?

We used to be able to place roads over irrigation ditches. I just began Saqqara and cannot do this. Is it something the devs removed or a bug? Anyone else having this issue?

Right now you can only build ditches under roads, not the other way around. Just like the original lol. Either way, you can build a crossing, it just has to be in a certain order.

In the original I definitely built ditches first and then roads atop them, so I don't know why you're LOLing at that. I'll try it the other way around for now. Hope the Devs fix this!!

Yep in the original you could do both ways. Now you have to place your roads, and then your ditches. If not, you have to remove the ditch, place the road, and place it back again. It's annoying but definitively not a priority for devs I hope :)

ooops didn’t even know can build ditch under road. All this time I have been building Roads forking from above and ditches forking from below so they don’t cross yet cover all rows of farms…

yeah that's annoying, build road first then ditch.
