Anyhow, it's sad it has so many bugs but it seems the game still needs to be polished. It's very playable, but not as challenging as the OG. The major bugs I find myself are with the water ferries. Let's give the devs some time to locate and fix this issues and polish what's missing. I'm certain they will listen to us.
Each mission is quite the same with a few winning conditions that change. You just won the mission with the goal to make a city of 3500 population? the next mission is to make a city with 4000 population and now you need to import reed instead of clay. Boring
The ton of text that is thrown at you at the beginning of each level to simulate a story is such a lazy peece of work. This 52 intense missions is just a marketing bs.
You are right. The NEW ERA didn't do any improve in OG campaign which is a relatively backward game method 24 years ago. It's originally designed to experience the history in the process of construction, enjoying the fun of urban construction and resource allocation.
There are so many ways to reach that.GREAT,they avoid every, and deleted military system
It's the same campaign than the game from 1999. Calm down. It's as it is supposed to be.
I haven't played the original. I've only played Zeus and Poseidon.
If it's the same campaign, maybe there was room for improvement. I heard the original had several different military threats that made the game more versatile. There were a few cutscenes to give you a feel for the progression of the story. At least something like this should work. Besides, I can come up with some level ideas on the spot to make it more fun.
