Culture rating
They seriously need to fix culture rating. I have to get 60 rating, and it keeps telling me i need more places of worship, schools and libraries. I have so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ many of them there couldnt possibly be a need for more. It's practictly impossible to reach the required rating without cheesing it and build a 100 schools somewhere and that can't be the design they are going for. FIX it.

Hey guys, the lastest patch fixed the children count on reload. Should help with the culture rating difficulties. Let us know if it helps!

Make sure with the transparencies that every house you can in the city recieves the services of the schools and libraries. Also musicians, dancers...

Everyone had access to the service. I had to place over 40 schools and 10 libraries in a row to cheese the culture stats up.

I find the Overseer of Culture is not reliable.
Instead check your other tabs to see your coverage for services: Entertainment/Health/Religion.
Then check your houses and make sure they are getting as many goods as possible in the current mission.

I remember this in the OG too but yes, you can just place random temples, entertainment venues, education facilities to increase your 'coverage', as this is counted separately from your walkers. It only checks your facility count vs population.

Is it not so that the diversity of culture counts? Per example, 3 jugglers, 3 dancers and 3 musicians is much better than 40 jugglers alone. And so on.

Yea coverage for jugglers/musicians/dancers is tracked separately, the venues also give different amounts of each.

On the later missions for me culture has remained bugged at 15, there is no way to raise it, no matter how much I spam all culture venues, temples, education, etc. Everything is at perfect, all houses have everything, etc, bugged at 15 with no way of moving forward other than using cheat code.

Any advice for Waset with culture? need 55 and for the life of me I can't get past 50. Spamming dentist and temples doesn't seem to help. Have perfect ratings in every category except scribe schools. For some reason they say I have 8200 children, even though city pop is 7k.

Had a similar issue which is why i had to spam schools to get the rating up. The education tab said i had 12k kids in a city of 8k people, which dragged my rating down from excellent coverage to above average. So had to spam a whole row of schools just to get a decent rating and then push the culture rating over to 60.

I checked every tab. Every tab was on perfect, including all entertainment and all the health ones. The issue was that the education tab said i had 12k kids in a city of 8k population. Makes absolut zero sense. So had to push out like 30-40 schools just to push the culture rating up and get school "coverage" from above average to excellent.

I'm stuck on Bubastis where you need 85. Every advisor tab says excellent coverage, almost every housing loop has access to everything, juggler/dancer/senet house spam etc etc. I put down 20 jugglers and culture went from 40 to 50 and then sorted out some more houses with libraries and it went back down to 40. Seems pretty broken to me.

Found out one more thing related to Culture when my culture wasn't moving.
The issue was that even though Entertainment had perfect coverage in all categories, it seems like it doesn't add culture if the venues are empty.
Once I made a bunch of juggler schools, music/dance schools everywhere, it spawned enough walkers to fill all the venues and my Culture increased a lot and I finished the mission immediately.

If the game does like the original, it is not only about coverage.

You'll need more of a specific enterteiner, like juggler, for every X people in the city until the coverage is "perfect".

Aparently there is a bug in the ratings advisor, so go to the entertainer advisor to check the ammount of enterteiners requires per population.

You should do the same to the health, education and religion advisors.

Culture is kinda bugged, children keep growing ~150 per year even above your population, the rating advisors don't explain good enough what you need to do for more culture, the entertainment boots require walkers (from schools) even if you have "perfect" the culture won't rise, and tribute sometimes just doesn't pay even if you have 200k+ dennaries

Hi, regarding the culture rating: you do need entertainers but also religion and healthcare (most notably dentists for culture ratings of over 20)

EDIT : There is a bug where the children's count keeps increasing unnaturally. This is presently being investigated and will be fixed soon. The current workaround is to build more schools

Yes.. Temples, enough entertainment schools and venues to keep the venues full all the time. Not just enough to make the people happy for growth. You also need dental, physician, mortician.. Libraries and Scribe Schools.

All things, in combination, brings the Culture up. If it is cycling up and down, you likely need more schools for your entertainers to keep the venues full longer and not have downtime there.
