How do I build a library?

Hello alltogether,

mayby my question is a little strange, but I'm stuck with the library. I have enough papyrus, but I don't know how to build it? It doesn't snap onto a road... It doesn't matter how I put the library, it just stays red.

SOLVED! I was a little stupid. Or perhaps the game? It told me I had 700 papyrus in storage, but actually it wasn't for one trader bought them.

Having this issue on Sandbox.
I have 1600 papyrus in a storage yard and set to not trading.
I also have more than 450 debens.
Will not let me place.

Maybe the cart pusshers already was on their ways to deliver them to scribal schools, like with the bazaar lady or trading, the game subtract the bought/elivered amount before it dissapear visually or from the overseer list
The best solution is to stockpile it, wait a month then try the libary

That is not the problem.
I have only two schools right now and both are already stocked.
If I only had the minimum required in storage that might be the case.
Last I checked, I have 2000 in storage.

Just wondering which game/map are you playing?
Also, do you just get a red outline when trying to place the school?

i figure you have, but, have you tried to place it in different places? maybe there is something on the ground. maybe animals "nursery" (where they appear)? maybe it hasn't got enter/exit points to a road?

this is weirdness, i never had problems with this.

Sandbox with pyramids is the map.
It's just the library that I cannot place. Anywhere.
Always red.

Thanks, just wanted to check on my game and the library is working normally.

So either your game Save is broken somehow, or maybe you have accidentally changed a setting in your Overseer of Commerce.
In the Overseer there are 'Stockpiling' and 'Toggle activation of industry' - so worth double checking they are OK and the same as all the others.

You are probably making papyrus, so turn off selling as well and run the game for a few months would be another option.

Other than that, put a game save on google, ms or other and I can have a look at the game for you :)

Well, this is odd.
I loaded up the game this morning and can place a library.
Bizarre.
