Docks are horribly bugged (and trading by water routes). Game breaking
Docks seem to be bugged as hell! I'm stuck at On (3 mastabas) and there is NO way to get granite or wood for monument provisions. It's unwinnable.

And if you create a second dock it will just be ignored (all the trading ships only go to the nearest one). If you wait for a longer line of ships, then create another dock downstream and erase the first one to make them move - they will bug completely. I managed to get them to move once and not a single time after. My plan was to erase one dock - let those 7 ships queue downstream and then create the first one again so the newly arrived ones queue at the first one again. And keep doing that... But they get bugged so much it's insane. Now they are all stuck (not that there is ANY of them carrying Granite or wood anyway, even though I have that trade route unlocked).

I cannot ask for a refund anymore, so I sure hope this is fixed. I really don't want to leave a bad review...

Yeah, it's a known issue. You can select which goods are traded through each dock but it doesn't seem to work properly. All the ships just pile up at the same dock.

Is there a work-around or alternate method of getting the goods?

I have 3 boats just stuck and only one item is being traded. Anyway to unstuck the Ships? I reloaded the game, I deleted the Dock and nothing is working.

same problem here, ths ships from 4 cities are stuck in the middle on the river, so I can only trade with one city...
The biggest problem is I can't reach the needed culture level because I have to import papyrus and the ship trading this good is stuck :(

Seeing this issue pop up a lot, but heres how Docks work afaik:
1)Ship looks for the closest dock it can buy/sell something.
2)It goes to that dock, the dock sends out workers to buy/sell whatever it sells. The ship has to wait for the dock worker, so its bad if it has to walk very far.
3)Once its done, repeat steps with the next closest dock, but it will not buy/sell something it has already bought/sold in previous docks. If no other dock is sell/buying something new, it will leave the city.

Keeping this behavior in mind, the best way to set it up is a Dock buy/sells nothing by default, and putting Storage Yards next to it, which can only Accept or Get the goods the Dock is Buying/Selling.
Once a dock is buying/selling more than about 3 different goods, I make another Dock to trade other goods.
I've not encountered any issues trading with Docks so far once I figured this out. Not sure if it makes a difference: using Global Worker Pool.

If I have too many water trade routes I build several docks which trade only one or two goods. And it is important to have enough empty warehouses next to the docks and also warehouses with the goods to trade. That reduces the waiting time for the ships.
In some mission the dock is already built. The goods are usually set to no trade and you have to change this.
What I sometimes forget is to accept food in a warehouse. Otherwise it can't be traded and the ships are waiting in a queue.
It is a little bit tricky and lot of management but now it works fine for me.

I had the same problem too

best way is to have as many docks as possible; each one with a very close storage yard; and you set a limited amount of goods for each docks and the associated storage yards. It's finicky and takes some time to get right but otherwise you can have boats blocking the dock if the worker has to go to the other side of the town. What I do is setup about one dock for each main material I produce / need; and maybe one with several goods I need in limited supply. This way the boats will go from dock to dock; the transfer will take a second and you have a smooth trading system.
Another thing is to have a storage yard close to your export production set to "accept good" and one in your dock set to "fill" (up to... if you have several goods you want to trade). same thing in reverse for thing you import; the dock storage yard is set top "accept"; the storage yard next to your production / monument is set top "fill". this way the storage worker will get the goods in advance from other storage yard and the wait will be minimal.

it does work; the ships will go to as many docks as needed; you just have to be very selective in what to choose to trade in each dock (see above comment for storage yard management)

two trade boats froze in the middle of the river going nowhere. only one left doing its job with one city. dont know how to reset the situation.

At which city are you?`I Just encountered a mission, where it took like 20 or 30 years, until i finally could open the trade route to import granite for a obelisk

there is clearly a bug with rtrade boats that need to be fixed asap because the mission cannot becompleted otherwise. it's the one where you can build many ferry to reach bottom left of the map to farm papyrus. You are supposed to build 3 mastabas but the granit can only come from tradeboats. if they freeze on the river as they did to me, I had 4 routes, two boat are stuck on the river and one doesnt come anymore and only one left come just to buy papyrus.

The name is "ON" (L'ivoire de l'est -2551).
I also have bugs with ships, by resuming an old save I succeeded to save a ship but not all.
They don't want to sell beer or jewelry, so my mission is blocked

Everyone writes about problems with the Port.
In 150 hours of play, I have never had a problem.
I assume that you do not build buffer warehouses close to the Port for quick loading and unloading of Ships.
Because of this, the Porters begin to walk all over the map, where trouble befalls them, and strange problems begin with the Ships.

I looked at my walkthrough On.
I have 5 Ports on 5 islands.
Everyone sells a separate product, no problem.
Do competent logistics and everything will work.
