per building management
So there's one thing that I really miss from the original; is the option to stop production in each building whenever you want. I think you can also disable completely a building (so either keep the employees or not). It's particularly useful when you want to hoard a ressource to give to the kingdom or sell; or in early game when you don't have enough staff and have to focus production. Is this something that could be added later?

In the original you could halt production of a industry, but not a building. You had to shut the whole thing down, not just a factory for want of a better word. You may be thinking of Emperor where you could click on a building and disable it. I have played both just in the last few weeks. You can still hoard (stockpile) items i have been doing so all along. Its in the commerce section off the seers IU, just untick the red x and you are stockpiling.

ah. memory is a tricky thing. Can't you turn off a building at all in the original, like disable it?
and is there an option to turn off an industry in "a new era"?

The two circles the one with the x is for stock piling.. the circle with out the x is to toggle industry on and off. I'm not sure if that is working correctly or not, people have mentioned its not always working.. I tend to not build till i have the poeple.. but that's just how i play.. I lie i over build all the time.. then i over populate .. haha

also one thing I looked for (which probably wasn't in the original?) is like a detailed report on consumption of goods/food by item. I'd like to know for example how much beer my city consume each year (not including trade). A game like frostpunk does that very well.

I press the circle with a woker. The industry is marked as inactive, but the workers don't go to work elsewhere. :steamsad:
