Djedu seems uncompletable

So I'm on Djedu, I've built the sun temple, maxed my kingdom rating, exceeded my prosperity rating target, and matched the monument rating. Population is also over target and everything is good. The only reason the mission won't end is the culture rating is 35 when the target is 45 - and there is literally nothing left I can do to try to raise this. I've built every single building it asks for, until the only one is recommends I need is mortuaries - which are built but not working as there is no way to import or produce linen on this level.

How is one meant to complete Djedu? All trade routes appear open...

I am sure, there is a way to get linen.
But as I am not yet in this mission I could not say how :(

Can you build a linnen industry and import the gods to produce it? (Flachs in german)

make a rectangle road.. put down the fire and archetic stations.. and put down several booths 5 at least. then a jugglers school - its a culture dump lol, give your villagers dentist access. You don't have to follow what it suggests... and the new game seems to be somewhat missleading.. if you have a big population.. they also want a helluva lot of temples ... so try that too.

Thank you so much Borgessa, after a good 30 minutes of confusion your booths suggestion pushed me to the damn required culture rating.

Unfortunately, no. I cannot import flax to make linen, nor can I grow it on the level either. There's one trade partner that buys linen and none than sell it either. My culture rating remains stuck at 40 needing 45... and saying I need more mortuaries (I built them but they do not send out walkers to provide services without the linen...)

I've plastered the city with everything for culture, to the point where now the culture advisor only talks about the mortuaries that aren't working without linen...

This was a "choose one of 2 cities" option so I guess I'll go back to my saves and try playing the other city, but I'd love to hear from anyone who has somehow finished DJedu...

So this sucks worse than I thought.. I went back to the last level, completed it - and did not get the choice to choose the alternative to DJedu.. it put me straight back into my DJedu.. I tried the "restart" option and it just restarts Djedu, cannot pick the alternate city... so unless linen shows up somehow on a repeat - I cannot go any further in the campaign.

Bahariya Oasis as alternative pick to DJedu - there's a city Abu sells flax to make linen - even though the culture requirement is much lower and it's not going to be needed. Did the devs mess up Djedu by giving the trade route to the wrong city perchance?

Haven't gotten there yet but in some Impressions games (not sure if Pharaoh qualifies) sometimes you get a necessary resource as a gift from somewhere and have to hold on to it religiously until it's needed. I don't like that mechanic a whole lot but thankfully it wasn't used very often. Might be some clues in the briefing?

Actually, I have open trade route with city that sells linen - the problem is no merchant is coming to sell me goods in order for Mortuaries to function. I have free storage, and I even hand checked every merchant that comes to my city - none with linen. I'm stuck at rating 30.

They might be hitting their sales limit. If that city sells or buys other stuff, consider stopping buying or selling to them for a year or so and just buy the resource you need.

edit: when I say sale limit I mean traders can only buy or sell a certain amount of stuff for every caravan that comes to your city. I think it's 8

Which city had linen? I've checked repeatedly and couldn't find one in my Djedu though maybe I'm specifically glitched.. I did finally manage to work around the problem though..

I tried playing the alternative mission (Bahariya) as a single mission instead of a campaign, and for some reason when I returned to the campaign it had reset the choice of DJedu vs Bahariya - so I chose Bahariya and completed it a second time - and then I seem to get to continue the campaign as one would expect - a bit of a performance, but I wasn't in a hurry to repeat all the missions in a fresh campaign in the hopes of getting further.

In my case Abedju sells linen. I'll try to do the same as you, keep your fingers crossed ;)

I have the same issue. Everything, every services are in "Perfect" status. So it's not going to increase by juggler, worship, senet house or whatever.
It certainly needs a fkn mortuary and no one sells linen. No flax either. Even if you find flax, there is no weaver in industry menu.
I dont want to try other city option as i spent fkn time in this period already.
And that is the another bugged part in whole game that old version doesnt have.

GAME DEV'S : Do your fkn jobs in fix all these bugs! This is not a free game. We paid and we spent time.
Only caricaturising the textures and graphics doesnt make a game good!
