Building not working due to "No worker nearby", 61% of population unemployed
Hello gamers,

Doing the campaign I have an issue going forward, however I'm not sure if it's a bug or just me missing some a game mechanic :(

I have 61% of the poppulation that is unemployed however few of my building aren't working (all the ones in red circles). After few minutes they're still not working. And we can see building of the same type working next to them.

It says "No worker nearby" but my city's logment are right below, and we can see other building working fine.

Is it a bug or am I missing something?

Also, the pple inside the blue circle not moving resources to the warehouse but i think it's because it is not working, right?

You have a roadblock right below the granaries. The recruiters can't get to your population. The reason the other granary is working is because it spawns the recruiter on the other side of the roadblock.
Note that this version of the game has a "Global Work Pool" setting that removes recruiters and thus this kind of micromanagement, if you wish.

(As for the work camps that are working, the recruiter is taking the long path on the right which I assume ends up connecting to near some of your housing, up to a road block. The reason the other workplaces turn on/off is because the recruiter is sent periodically to look for worker, even when it found workers before, to make sure there are still houses around. At least that's how it used to work in the old Pharaoh game).

Switch on the global worker pool in the options. Makes your life easier. If you don´t do it reccruiters will be blocked by roadblocks.

Thanks for your replies, I removed the roadblock and it worked.

I had no knowledge of this recruiters mechanic. I'll switch the option in the settings to make it easier.

After you have switched the option you can build the roadblock new :)
This prevents, that you watercarriers, basarmaids etc in this direction walk.

Another solution (with option off and roadblock intact) is to place ONE house (does not need to be evolved) next to the building which needs workers. This was the only to go way in the old game )
