Fort: Infantry help
I've built a fort for archers and the recruiter filled it up

I built a fort for infantry and it just sits. The recruiter states he is not recruiting because there are no requests for troops. (????)

I notice there are spawn points for archer fort. There are NOT spawn points for the infantry fort. Is something wrong with it?

Am I missing something?

Edit: I have a stockyard full of weapons....

i had this once but the issue was with the military academy. i deleted that building and then they made infantry normally.

Bubastis - broken recruiter - fails to produce unit at 100%
I'm on Bubastis now, and the recruiter is broken. It sits at 100% indefinitely, despite having empty forts requiring troops. Consequently I am unable to dispatch an army to assist other cities, and will be unable to defend my own with land power. The recruiter has weapons and the forts are infantry and archers. Have tried to recreate the forts a couple times, as first time they were right on map edge, without change. Tried running roads to them, also without change. Hoping this doesn't prevent completion of this mission...

Have also noticed a more helpful bug where sending a gift to the people of Egypt fails to decrease debens, enabling arbitrarily often the use of this (although the returns diminish if overused).

Overall - after tens of hours of play time - my initial conclusions that the game was released riddled with bugs and errors stand. It's a pity it wasn't presented as "early access" as the paying players do appear to be used for basic play testing. Held off on reviewing so far as very much liked the original and wanted to see how it shook out with more play time, yet so far the issues persist - many of which should've been spotted in basic testing.

Have noticed some fixes though, eg trees don't (near) instantly respawn now. This could be great again if the devs fix everything.

UPDATE: Quitting and reloading the game fixed the recruiter bug (for now at least). Note on the gifting stands.

Adding inappropriate achievement grants to the list of minor bugs - "This is not Caesar III" - just received it on achieving a palatial estate, but I am using plenty of roadblocks in the city. Also received "Food for Thought" recently despite not importing most of the food the city was eating (just after a load, maybe timing glitch).

I confirm
I first encountered "broken recruiter, unit at 100%" in the mission№20 Sawu.
Recruiter and Academy and 1st 2st 3rd Forts have been built in the center of the map (Sawu).
(the center of the map can only be reached via the Ferry Terminal)
The 3rd Fort unexpectedly ceased to be filled.
Created the 4th Fort - did not help.
The Recruiter had Workers, Weapons, but "unit at 100%".
Deleted the Academy - did not help.
Deleted the Recruiter and created again - did not help.
Deleted the Ferry and created again - did not help.
Deleted the Recruiter and created it on the left of the map (Sawu) on the Main Road of the Kingdom - did not help.
Created a 5th Fort next to the Recruiter, near the Main Realm Road.
It worked!
After the filling of the 5th fort, the 4th and 3rd were not filled.
(also in the 1st and 2nd Forts there were losses that were not replenished)
Removed 3rd Fort.
It worked!
Recruiter started replenishing 1st and 2nd and 4th Fort.
(soldiers crossed the Ferry Crossing en route with no problem)
Built the Academy near the Recruiter. Everything is fine.
Built other Forts next to 5m.

Morality
- There is a painful dependence of the Recruiter on the Main Road of the Kingdom;
- Fort can get buggy;

There is an assumption that the 3rd Fort got bugged because the soldier was eaten by scorpions on the way to the fort.

The one on the main land (where It need access from a ferry) dont.

The recruiter, obviously have the weapons needed.

When I delete and build the recruiter in the main land, the Fort starts to be staffed.

Before anyone complains that the ferry is without workers, It is working pretty well for everything else.

People deliver goods to warehouses in the main land and the recruiters land all using the ferry to move.

Got "Food for Thought" after loading a save (saved after Victory).

Yeah, that was my scenario - immediately after loading a save - I got the achievement... vast majority of food not imported.

the academey has to be near a house, it doesn't work with global employment so put it near houses or give it a house? Will that work?

make sure you are not stockpiling weapons. Then, make sure the fort is reachable, for example, if you built it behind rocks (mines) and the only way to reach the fort is through water crossing, make sure you have water crossing buildings attached to roads on both sides.

Kebet not producing military units
I am not able to produce military units. Recruiter and Military Academy are fully staffed and still no units after 6 years. I have weapons and fully staffed with everything else for production, so I am not sure why I cannot create units. I keep getting defeated in battles due to no units. I have all 3 forts both in archers and in infantry but still no units.

It seems its a bug. Happen to me with the military academy, when I build it the recruiter stop producing troops. It was repaired eliminating the military academy. Test it and tell me, cause after I delete it I never built the MA again.
