People refusing to immigrate claiming I have slums - but only have Spacious Apartments
the least developed dwellings I have are Spacious Apartments, not one single cottage or slum or homestead, but apparently people won't immigrate:

"you are universally loathed because of so many slums"

City is Abu.

I'm having the same problem in the city Abu. My the least developed dwellings are spacious residence. Chief overseer says "Poor City Sentiment prevents immigration, People are angry with you because of so many slums." I don't think there are slums in my city. I need 1000 people more to victory, but no one is coming.

I had the same issue and discovered that actually having a block made of less-rich housing solved the issue? It's bizzare.

Actually I have 5 common manors and many spacious residences and no other types of dwellings... Maybe that could be the reason...

I am having this problem as well. Cannot get around it, my city growth has come to a halt. I've restarted the map twice, first time all my buildings were the highest level possible for the map (but I have 'too many slums'??) and the 2nd time i retried, I left some low entry housing as well as full upgraded - same issue.... Please can the devs look into this, thanks.

This bug looks to happens anytime you're using global workers pool and the first 3 tiles house appears.

Also your savefile will be corrupted If tou try to load a game with this bug.

That would make sense actually. It's like the moment you reach 3x3 housing your lowest level of housing is then considered a slum. Of course that's probably 90% of your city.
But if you have a seperate neighborhood with lower housing, then THAT will be considered the slum instead.
Also this:

Because if you are playing with recruiters, you will probably have some underdeveloped housing in your industry areas that will be the slums instead of your regular neighborhoods.

This is all just speculation, but it would explain a lot, wouldn't it?

Sounds annoying. Is there any point playing the game with so many bugs? Would it be better to wait? I don't mind some of the changes made, but silly bugs that halt gameplay and progression are problematic. Maybe they should have released it on 31 March??

Slums occur when people leave the city, die from illnesses etc and the houses stay upgraded for some reason. Immigrants won't move into those houses. The only solution I found is to demolish those 'slum houses' and rebuild housing in that area.

Slum is calculated based on your best house.
The higher you have your best house, the higher will be the "slumness" of other houses compared to the richest.
A simple workaround is:
- Unemployment <= 4%
- Salary >= 2 (or 5) with respect to the kingdom
- Lowering Taxes
