i never played the original pharao but i played another game wit the same look..and i dont know if it is from the same developer or not ... but the name of that game was "Emperor: rise of the middle kingdom"

i would love to see a remake of that one too ... .___. <3

Yes it was impressions last game.. I am currently playing it, you can get it over at Gog - think you have to get a patch also, honestly the graphics are so beautiful, I dunno if it needs updating. Still Pharaoh is my fav of all time city builder.

I love Emperor ROTMK. It has been my gold standard for years for this kind of city builder. Between the beautiful graphics and animations and the ambient sounds and talking you can easily pretend that you are working on a real city.
"Ow!" "You must relax." "Try it again. Practice!"
And the music is wonderful too.
Glad to see someone else appreciates it too.

I have just started to play this new Pharaoh, and am liking it so far. I'm just not sure yet if I like it better than the original.

I'm another Emperor ROTMK fan, it's beautiful game, I play it a lot I also like Zeus Master of Olympus, I still play that one, I would love Emperor to be updated, but not too much, I'd like it to fit my 27in screen without a widescreen fix which distorts the graphics. am playing Pharaoh a new era and that fits great, I am enjoying playing Pharaoh again. thank you Devs.

A remaster of Emperor would be great, until then you can use the "Emperor Resolution Customiser" mod which you can find on NexusMods. Works great on 1080p, not sure on other resolutions.

I always loved this game. One of the best games I've ever played. I really wish they could remake or make a sequel of it.
Hundreds of hours of fun with it.

ROTMK is the best game in the series, but not the fan favorite. Caesar 3 will probably get the next game if they make one - even if there is a fan project for it.

i don't think emperor needs a remake, that game is perfect as it is. It is easier because it is well done. i like it a lot.

I bought a new computer, and when I downloaded Emperor ROTMK and ZEUS Master of OLYMPUS again from GOG they were BOTH widescreen, [without any mods], I was thrilled to bits.
