I'm fine with it.
& you can't place it "anywhere you want" cause then it wouldn't serve as a central place where the feasts take place
I can build them, but I've never seen anyone actually use one even if I call a festival
Why make a remake if you aren't going to take on beautiful opportunities like this to make a game more appealing? Not trying to complain but a lot of these things could have been improved.
With modern AI capabilities this shouldn't be a problem.
Also what is the point in building one if you don´t need it for festivals?
To be fair some would argue it is adding to the "charm" I guess.
Because you have to have a layout like this (now with the square and later with the bandstand and pavilion for example) you can't just build everything 5x5 oder 7x7 and have to therefore rethink your complete layout.
It is a trick to avoid simple "bricklaying".
It is not for everyone but many prefer the "original charm" therefore its a decision that was completely up to the developer.
PS: It IS being used for festivals!
Sadly not animated but without it you cant have festivals to please the gods.
