Be Careful guys!!!!!!!
Ok so the classic were ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ epic not gonna lie... BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTTTTT

Like every single other Remaster/Remake/etc available on steam = EXACT SAME BLOODY GAME just reskinned for modern era... Kingdoms of Amalur did it... and charged us AAA prices for ONLY ... ONLY... lighting updates!!!!!!

Yakuza ... REMASTERS after HOW many years??? 2/5/10 respectivley ;)

**And lets NOT forget FF7 REMAKE which failed heavily and wasnt even the full game!!!!!

While i am ALL for this PROJECT if they go back to basics and make a brand new game? SURE!!!! i will spend AAA prices and then some... but GUESS WHAAAAT?

looking at the images and etc... it is NOTHING but a 100% reskin

(all i am saying is BE CAREFUL!)

Well, Lethis was a brand new game. You can play that. It's reasonably priced. Especially during a sale.
Maybe they'll resume the work on Lethis 2.

The whole POINT is that it's the same game that's reskinned and runs on modern computers. That's it. Complaining about a game doing exactly what it's supposed to do is literally insane.

I'm good with this what's your point?

Not too convinced at the moment, maybe more reveals would change my mind. Graphically doesn't look any different, just less pixely. What's the point... we already have the old version running on new PC's.

100% ok with a HI-RES version of the original game.

That's fine, this is exactly what I'm looking for.

I'm expecting some QOL changes to the original gameplay here and there and maybe some additional missions, but, hey, they are working a rather old game's graphics from the ground up to look good in 2021, so we can relive our nostalgic times. We also get reworked music, and maybe some new tunes as well. Even if the result will come out as only a whole "HD reskin", it ain't a small task, so they'll get my money for it if the pricing gonna be reasonable.

I totally agree with the last three posts, plus no trouble running it under Win 10 and no trouble showing the intro. That is all I wish for.
Well... the music didn’t have to be changed.

The trouble with remasters is they often introduce new bugs and ruin some things about the originals we liked. Will wait for the reviews and comments after this one comes out.

Considering that the original game will not run on my computer, I will be perfectly happy to play a great deal of money for a remake of one of my favorite games ever that will run on my modern computer. No fancy updates needed or desired.
im fine with it being "the same" game. i even expect it to be the same game. things that would be cool though would be some more art assets, so the houses dont look all the same when putting them down next to each other etc. also looking forward to it having some UI improvments

Reskin of the original game with the same gameplay?
I'm in if I can play it on ultra widescreen.

It runs on my Win10 PC. Granted with some UI bugs but nothing too terrible.
There is a widescreen fix out there that I have used but I have to switch to my 1920x1080 monitor to play it for any visual affinity.

BUT, I'm not sure it will work on the Steam version.
I'm using the retail versions of Pharaoh and Cleopatra.

1280x960

Download this file and select your proper screen size exe.
It just takes some tweaking. Especially in the .exe properties. Under Compatibility tab click on Change setting for all users and at the bottom check the box for Override high DPI scaling behavior. Application selection on the drop down.

It's not the "Same game reskinned and runs on modern computers" because you can get Pharaoh on GOG and that runs on modern computers just fine.

I imagine they're going to not only be upscaling the textures, but also focusing on fixing all the glaring gameplay issues and bugs the original had, and believe me, it had an absolute ton of them, to the point that you had to build your cities in a way that would take the bugs into account, because they were so prevalent and unavoidable. I love the impressions city builders, but Caesar 3, Pharaoh and Zeus to a lesser extent, were an absolute mess.

I got StarCraft/BroodWar remastered and it's the same game but with much better graphics, I can't even play the original version because of how pixelated it is in comparison and my eyes kept trying to focus it.
I assume this will be the same way, the same game but with better graphics.

TBH, I'm ready to pay 15-20€ for the remastered game. I won't be willing to pay extra.
