Maybe they'll resume the work on Lethis 2.
100% ok with a HI-RES version of the original game.
Well... the music didn’t have to be changed.
I'm in if I can play it on ultra widescreen.
It runs on my Win10 PC. Granted with some UI bugs but nothing too terrible.
There is a widescreen fix out there that I have used but I have to switch to my 1920x1080 monitor to play it for any visual affinity.
BUT, I'm not sure it will work on the Steam version.
I'm using the retail versions of Pharaoh and Cleopatra.

Download this file and select your proper screen size exe.
It just takes some tweaking. Especially in the .exe properties. Under Compatibility tab click on Change setting for all users and at the bottom check the box for Override high DPI scaling behavior. Application selection on the drop down.
It's not the "Same game reskinned and runs on modern computers" because you can get Pharaoh on GOG and that runs on modern computers just fine.
I imagine they're going to not only be upscaling the textures, but also focusing on fixing all the glaring gameplay issues and bugs the original had, and believe me, it had an absolute ton of them, to the point that you had to build your cities in a way that would take the bugs into account, because they were so prevalent and unavoidable. I love the impressions city builders, but Caesar 3, Pharaoh and Zeus to a lesser extent, were an absolute mess.
I assume this will be the same way, the same game but with better graphics.
