Game won't start

Just bought this game on Ubisoft-Sale and it wont start. My PC should be more than enough to play it. Anyone an idea?

I klick on the icon and nothing happens. Installed Physix and all the driver stuff as usual.

Solution that worked for me:
1. Install the game in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam (or your standard steam game folder)
2. Install http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx-9.13.0604-legacy-driver.html

i have same problem and if you go in folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2\Support\Detection and use detectionui_r.exe all config are good but have problem with graphic driver but it s no sense i think it s detection bug

not run :/ i think the installer PhysX_8.06.12_SystemSoftware.exe don't download the files because i waiting long time and instaler do nothing. Waiting patch now thanks steam

I tested it on a different system and it worked. I think it is the thing with the two graphic cores. I have a Intel HD4000 and a ATI 7970M in the system were it did't run and only a ATI 5760M were it worked instantly.

But deactivating the Intel HD 4000 doesn't do the trick.

I have core i7 + ati 7870 i think it's just driver detection problem.I have Tom Clancy's HAWX 2 and this game have similar files.And same detectionui_r.exe but detection run perfectly in this game because more recent than detection_r.exe in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 .The game need patch for new ATI card (i don't know if same problem are in nvidia)

ummm, why is steam selling games that won't work on today's systems. Get it together! Christ. I know it was only $5 but i can't even play it! What's the point?!

Yeah i have tried everything in here i can't get it to work. The game comes with the lates patch. I have tried all the things Steam wanted us to does not work. I am running windows 7 tried the fix for that. Nothing?
