Game Ranger and Mods
Anyone have any idea as to how host the Game Ranger MP sessions with mods?

So long as all parties have the mods activated, it should work fine. Have you tried it and had difficulty?

Rocky!? Wow, we actually posted this question on GR.net.

Anyway, yeah we're running them. Problem is, Game Ranger automatically launches the MP session via the exe when prompted, so that in turn bypasses the .bat file that is used to enable the mod.

Hmm. Okay,

I just posted a FAQ entry on how to play offline single player mods post Gamespy,

My next job is to do the same for multipler games with gameranger. I know the guys at legion of sparta have managed this, although I can't be sure if they are using mods.

Ah, I see your post at ghostrecon.net now - you are actually talking about bretzies, one of the few mods that has it's own launcher. May have to call in some help on this one - I'll reach out to Bretzies!

We're using Weapon Masters which as you know, combines Snows and Bretts mods. However, it uses a .bat file to launch the mod as well.

There is actually a workaround for this. I've done it with Battlefront 2. You need an .bat to .exe file converter. That way, you can trick Gameranger to think that you're launching an exe file when in actual fact it is the batch file :)

Thanks Stonecold, I've added the file required and your instructions at http://www.ghostrecon.net/files2/index.php?act=view&id=1418
