I think that getting sapphires from iron is bugged!

Can sapphires spawn from any iron? I have broken over 300 iron ore nodes and I have not received 1 sapphire. I get that it is rare, but it can't be that rare. I am pretty sure that this is bugged. Do sapphires start spawning from iron at a certain level.

They're not supposed to depend on level... I think. Unless they've changed something. So yes, it does sound like it could be a bug. Could you try mining other nodes and seeing if you get gems from them?

I am getting plenty of opal! I have not got any ruby, but I am not deep enough in the mines yet to get much silver ore rock.

I'm just not getting sapphire.

I've gotten only one sapphire after breaking tons of Iron nodes in the Mines, and only one sapphire breaking tons of sapphire outside of the Mines.
I have noticed that drop rates for sapphire are absurdly low.
I am wondering if the drop rate can be impacted by something in game, in which it could improve (like skill level or some other thing).
It seems odd for it to be faster to get sapphires through methods that aren't mining in this game.
It is so much easier to get Opals than it is Sapphire, because I have gotten very few Opals, yet the rate of Opal drops does appear several times greater than Sapphire since I've gotten a much larger amount of Opal.
I recommend focusing on buying and trading for Sapphire, its just a lot easier and more worthwhile than grinding mining for it.
