what can helpers do?

I was wondering about why some potential helpers at the market have skills that don't obviously correlate to farming, like mining, logging, info, trade etc. Are these skills relevant at all? I know the helpers will tend/harvest crops, collect animal products, and maybe fish and chop trees on farm? but since there aren't any ores left on my farm except at the south side, and those aren't very valuable to me whether there is any point in getting a helper with A level mining? Can they do something else, like get assigned to places like Kroc and Abby, or assign to build/ upgrade things in town, so I can upgrade multiple things at once? And I can't even imagine what a helper with A info or trading could do... Am I missing something or are these skills just random/ yet to be implemented as having a use?

I have been wondering about this as well. Especially the informant, fighting, trading, cooking, etc. Im not even sure how to even get my animal helper to feed my animals...he just collects what they produce.

They don't, you need to have 50 animals and unlock the locked thing next to the house, and then you can put your feed in it and it will automatically feed the animals, the animal helpers aren't that useful :(

Good to know, thank you. I saw the feed bin, but figured they would hopefully use that at some point...guess not. Still hope there is a use for the other kinds of helpers cause so far I feel like the planting ones are the only ones that are useful. I really want to send mining ones out to help in the mines...or do what Kroc and Abby does.
