SAVE FILES!! help please

Dose any one know how to delete old save files? I want to delete a character but it wont let me.

The save files are in this location: C:\Users\<user name>\Documents\Funalter\SoP\<numbered files> those ".encrypt" files are save files. And remember to save a copy.
One more thing, in-game no.1 corresponds to "auto" in files, and no.2 corresponds to no.1 in files. follow this rule.

Also, thank you. I was hoping to delete the last save because I'm stuck in the mining cave hot spring. Level 26. When I try to leave it changes my cloths, but I can't leave until the place throws me out at 23:00 which is a long while to wait from 11:00... Sorry for waffling.

I've tried this and the saves keep coming back. Am I missing something? I've even uninstalled then deleted all of them. Then reinstalled.

I'm assuming they mean the save files keep reappearing in the folder, which is what mine is doing. I've completely removed the deleted save files from my computer, verified they were deleted, even uninstalled and the minute I boot up the game, they are back in the load files and reappear in the folder like magic. I have a file that I forgot to name my character and it autonamed a name that I hate and I can not get rid of it for the life of me.

My husband just fixed it for me. Turn off Steam Sync in the properties. Go back in and delete the files you want and they will be gone. Not sure if they will come back when/if you turn sync back on.

Ah, that makes sense :) Make sure that if you reenable it you choose Local Saves if the conflict window pops up: https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/68D2-35AB-09A9-7678#conflicts
