The choice between Jida and Uyuu

As the new mayor, I have a task to choose who to support; Jida (bald guy) or Uyuu (red girl). What is the difference between those two? Skills, reward, other? Who is better to choose?

I dont know which is better. I chose Uyuu which made some folks receive negative FP's. I am still 3 fax away from meeting the quota so dont know the benefit of going with the small tribe yet. I guess the festival of light will be blocked for me though.

I see. I thought about choosing Uyuu, because it looks like her tribe is good at farming, and if she stayed maybe I would receive help with the farm. The other guy is a warrior. Honestly, I like him more, but I don't know what I would need warrior skills on my farm for. Or does he have farming skills too? It is very confusing when you have no information about the skills and rewards.

Update: I got the flax required and completed the quest, and yes, Uyuu offered to stay and become a worker for the farm. Also there was a "rumour" in the newsletter that the Festival of Light was postponed/cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances and the leader of their tribe had been fired.... I guess I got old baldy in trouble with his tribe... If I believe what Uyuu's story then I dont feel too sorry for Jida...

on my first play through I went with baldy and the weekend after I'd got him as a worker the other one was there to be hired as a worker. so I don't think it matters to much I have him on planting and her on animals though they only seem to pick the animal products no feeding or petting

I did choose baldy because in my eyes the girl is a bit too rude xD Seems like you get negative Fp on some people either way.

I chose Jida on my first play. There was a message after I delivered the flax reporting the Festival of Lights happened and was very successful. Does anyone know what gift comes in the fall from the Lights Tribe?

If i remember correctly a gold Statue that portrait Jida self.

Jida: a big golden statue of himself

Uyuu: the crafting recipe for an alpaca flowerpot you can use at the flower arrangement station

You'll be able to have both as helpers, the one you didn't pick will show up eventually.
